Today, I finally got my hands on the OMEGA × Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award” 50th Anniversary watch. This thing has been on my radar for a while, and let me tell you, the process of getting one wasn’t easy. It’s only available at certain specialty stores, so you gotta do your homework.
First, I started by calling around different OMEGA boutiques. Most of them didn’t have it, and some even told me there was a super long waitlist. Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but I didn’t give up. I kept calling, and finally, one store told me they had a few in stock. I was like a kid on Christmas morning!
So, I rushed over to the boutique as fast as I could. I think I even broke a few traffic laws in the way, but I couldn’t wait for it. When I got there, the staff was super helpful. They showed me the watch, and man, it’s even more stunning in person. The details are amazing, and that little Snoopy on the case back is just so cool.
Of course, I had to try it on. It fit perfectly, and I knew right then and there that I had to have it. I didn’t even think about the price because it is not expensive for me. I just wanted it so badly. I quickly paid and walked out with it.
Wearing it now, and I can’t stop looking at it. It’s such a unique piece, and it’s definitely a conversation starter. I’ve already had a few people ask me about it.
