So, I’ve been eyeing this OMEGA Speedmaster Super Racing watch for a while now. It’s like, the talk of the town among watch nerds, and I finally got my hands on one. Here’s the deal, from start to finish.
First off, I started digging around online, you know, just to see what the hype was all about. Found out this watch is the first one to have this new Spirate™ System. Sounds fancy, right? It’s supposed to make the watch super accurate, like, only off by 0/+2 seconds a day. That’s insane!
Then I started looking at where to buy it. Checked out a bunch of online stores. They all had it, but the prices were all over the place. I managed to snag one at a decent price, though. Full warranty and all that jazz.
When the package finally arrived, I ripped it open like a kid on Christmas morning. The watch is a beauty, I gotta say. It’s got this stainless steel body, 44.25 mm, which is a good size for my wrist. Not too big, not too small. And the black dial? Oh man, it’s got this honeycomb pattern that’s just mesmerizing. It’s like a sandwich dial, they call it.
I wound it up and set the time. This thing is manually wound, which is kinda cool. Feels more connected to the watch, you know? It’s got this Calibre 9920 movement inside, which is a Co-Axial Master Chronometer. No idea what that actually means, but it sounds impressive. It’s got 26 jewels, and beats at 21,600 per hour. COSC certified, whatever that is, haha.

- Wearing it: Feels great on the wrist. Not too heavy, but definitely has some presence.
I’ve been wearing it for a few days now, and I’m loving it. It’s definitely a conversation starter. People keep asking me about it. And the accuracy? Spot on. I mean, I haven’t noticed any time loss at all.
