Okay, so I recently got into this whole watch thing. And let me tell you, it’s a rabbit hole. I was looking for something cool, something different, and then I stumbled upon the CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Skywalker X-33. Yeah, the name’s a mouthful, I know.
First off, I started by searching online, reading a ton of forums and articles about it. There is a history behind this watch, its origins dating back to 1998, originally launched at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. Apparently, it’s got some connection to space exploration and astronauts and stuff. There is even a newer model called the Marstimer. But I wasn’t interested in all that, my eye was on the classic style Skywalker. It has some earlier models that use a caliber 1665, but the one I got uses a caliber 5619 quartz movement. Whatever that means.
Anyway, I found a few places that sell replicas, these are not original, just really good copies. The price was right, so I pulled the trigger and ordered one.
When it arrived, it came in a pretty neat box. The watch itself? It’s big. Like, 45mm big. And it’s made of titanium, which is supposed to be super strong. It’s got a black dial and a bunch of buttons on the side. Honestly, I’m still figuring out what all the buttons do. There are so many functions to this thing!
I’ve been wearing it for a few days now, and I gotta say, I like it. It’s definitely a conversation starter. People keep asking me about it. The digital display is kinda cool, and it’s got a backlight, which is handy at night. It has some features like mission elapsed time (MET) which is cool I guess.
What I did learn:

- It’s got a bunch of functions, like alarms, timers, and a perpetual calendar.
- It’s water-resistant, but I’m not planning on taking it swimming anytime soon.
Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. Is it a real Omega? Nope. But it looks cool, it feels good on my wrist, and it didn’t break the bank.
